Can
I install this unit myself?
Yes, but installing a remote starter has
many SAFETY ramifications, such as making
sure the car is in park, and not running
already, and the heater or air conditioner
is functioning. The savings here are not
worth it. It is recommended a remote starter
should be left to a professional.

If I have an aftermarket security or factory
keyless entry installed in my vehicle, Can I
use the transmitter to activate the remote
starter?
Yes, the Python
or Ultra Start add-on remote starter will
work for this application. ask our
techs about this

Can I have a remote starter installed in
my vehicle even if my vehicle has a Factory
anti-theft or alarm system?
Yes, although you may require addition parts
and labor at the time of installation.
Modules known as “Bypass Modules” are
installed to temporally override the factory
anti-theft while the remote is activated.
These modules are generally “vehicle
specific” and the module needed will be
determined by your dealer.

Will I still be able to use my vehicle's
OEM systems if I install a remote starter?
Yes, All Python and Ultra Start systems are
designed to work in tandem with the factory
installed system (We leave it alone so you
can traded it in with the car).

Is having a Remote Starter installed safe?
Yes, PYTHON and Ultra Start remote starters
are designed with safety in-mind. All of our
systems will shut down the engine if the
brake pedal is pushed or when the programmed
runtime expires. Python & Ultra Start
systems can easily be placed into Service
Mode. This disables the remote start
function if the vehicle needs to be
serviced.

Is having a Remote Starter installed in
a manual transmission vehicle safe?
We don't recommend it.

Can my
vehicle be stolen while it is running by
the remote starter?
This would be next to impossible. All remote
starters have safety and theft prevention
features built in. The ignition key must be
inserted before driving, if not the engine
will shut off when the brake is pressed. It
is recommended to ensure the vehicle is
locked at all times while the remote starter
is in operation.

What is the benefit of having the keyless
entry option installed?
Although this is an optional feature it is
one of the most common requests. This
feature from factory can cost hundreds of
dollars when you purchase your vehicle, when
added during a remote start installation it
is considerably less. The keyless entry
option prevents the scratching of the door
that occurs when you use the key to unlock
or lock the doors, you will never have to be
concerned about the lock cylinder freezing
in the cold weather

Will installing a remote engine starter
void my vehicle’s original manufacturer’s
warranty?
To be brief, No. Laws are in place to
protect consumers and allow you to have such
devices as remote starters installed.
However, if the added device is of
questionable quality, or is installed
improperly, warranty issues can be brought
into play. Your best choice is to always
have any remote start system installed by a
professional authorized dealer.
